- Gives you a sense of belonging. Every community has its one individual identity, from the mom-and-pop bakery that sells to-die-for bear claws to the trusted CPA. When a business is involved in the community, they easily recognize how their decisions impact their neighbors.
- It’s mutually beneficial. A community and its businesses impact one another. They can relate to each other’s struggles, learn from each other’s experiences, and build each other up. Most importantly, the health of the community has a direct impact on the health of its businesses.
- Involvement is good for business. Community residents appreciate organizations that give back to the community and are more likely to direct their business there than to a less involved business.
- Opportunity to learn from others. Business owners that are involved in the community get the chance to meet and surround themselves with community leaders, business owners, and professionals who can share their own unique perspective and knowledge.
